Questions worth asking before you sign in.
Clear answers on custody, gas, usernames, fees, and the upcoming card—without the brochure gloss.
Getting started
Who is Vybe for?
Freelancers, remote workers, and creators who earn or hold USDC/USDT and want a simple way to keep dollars, pay people by name, and—soon—spend with a virtual card.
Do I need crypto experience?
No. Sign in with email or Google. Your smart wallet is created for you. You send by @username, not by memorizing addresses or buying gas tokens.
How long does setup take?
Minutes. Authenticate, claim a username, and you’re ready to receive. The “crypto homework” is the part we removed.
Wallet & custody
Who holds my funds?
You do. Vybe uses self-custody smart wallets. Access is tied to your account recovery—not a seed phrase you’re expected to tattoo on a notebook.
What does gasless mean?
For supported transfers on Base, network fees are sponsored. You don’t need ETH sitting idle just to move USDC or USDT.
Which chain and tokens?
Base Chain. USDC and USDT. That’s the stack most freelancers already get paid in—and the one we optimized for.
Can I still use a wallet address?
Yes. Pay links and @usernames are the happy path. Your address remains available for receive when someone needs it.
Sending & friends
How does pay by @username work?
Claim a unique name. Add friends or share your pay link. Enter an amount, confirm the person, and send. Notifications land when someone pays you.
What if I send to the wrong person?
Confirm screens exist so you see the recipient before funds leave. Always double-check the @name—same habit you’d use on any money app.
Are invites required?
No. Anyone can open a wallet. Invites simply speed up getting your circle onto the same rail.
Fees & card
What does Vybe charge today?
Opening the gasless wallet and paying by @username doesn’t require buying ETH for gas. Card spend will use a transparent convenience spread at liquidation when that feature ships—details shown in-product before you use it.
Is the virtual card available?
Not yet. Request early access from your dashboard. The promise: $0 creation fee and $0 maintenance when it launches.
Will I need identity verification for the card?
Yes. Card issuance requires compliance checks through partners. We’ll walk you through it in-app when your seat opens.
Trust & company
Is Vybe a bank or exchange?
No. Vybe is a software interface. Wallets, gas sponsorship, and card rails are provided by licensed infrastructure partners such as Crossmint and Visa networks.
Where do you launch first?
Nigeria—tech freelancers and creators earning in stables—then similar high-friction markets.
How do I get support?
Use in-app help where available, or reach out through the channels published on vybe as we scale support.
Open the wallet and see it yourself.
The fastest FAQ answer is a live balance and a pay link with your name on it.
